Month Ahead – April

Not sure why I like that quote so much… It may seem negative, but I see it as ominous. Almost like a mystery of what is to come.

Today is on-point with the sunshine, though. I’m at my desk, windows open, working on a list of April goals.

So far, I’ve got:

Eat more fresh produce.
Keep my plants alive.
Go hiking.
Run 50 miles for the month.
Travel.
Drink more water.
Declutter.

It’s hard to believe that just a few days ago, Richard and I celebrated 3 months of marriage. We celebrated that day by finally checking out the delectable treats that Duck Donuts in Cary has to offer!

YUM.

Also last month, our wedding photo book arrived!

We are so happy with it. The photos look stunning. When designing the book at Shutterfly.com, I opted for the lay-flat pages — perfect for a coffee table display!

I peppered quotes from our vows to each other throughout the book, to remind us of the romance and closeness that we felt on that special day.

  1. Don’t you just love Cary. I didn’t know about Duck Donuts. My favorite place is La Farm Bakery. Your wedding photos are stunning. Our Son and DIL were married at Fearrington Village also. Kristen is in the wedding business also. She had a wedding invitation shop in downtown Cary called The Green Kangaroo.

Wow, I will have to look into that shop sometime! How neat! Isn’t Fearrington just gorgeous? All year, too! And yes, we love La Farm — went there a couple of times when Richard’s family was visiting from England. His Mum loved it. Next time you’re in the area, you’ll have to go to Duck Donuts. Dense and cakey donuts, made to order with your choice of glaze and toppings! Quite an indulgence, but hey, it’s okay every once in a while!

  2. OK tell me the secret – how can Duck Donuts fit into “eating more fresh produce”? HA HA!!!!!!

Photo book looks awesome – can’t wait to look through it. Glad they did a great job for you.

Re: your comment to me dear – yes, this month is going to be crazy before we leave – but will try to get together, more on that later.
    Love you XX

HAHA! Don’t worry — Duck Donuts was part of March. Clean slate when a new month arrives, right?! At least we can pretend! xx
