Brewgaloo Weekend

So, my shoulders are a little sunburned, and my feet a little sore — but I had a great time yesterday at Brewgaloo with Richard, my parents, and my brother Patrick! I continue to be amazed at the number of local breweries that our state is churning out.

The event was also dotted with dozens of local food trucks, each with its own unique cuisine. Richard and I tried veggie and tofu dumplings from DumpPhoKingTruck — a brand new food truck (Brewgaloo was only their second event!) that began as a Kickstarter project. The food was great, and the ladies running the business were just so sweet!

Now that it’s Sunday, it’s time to get caught up on a few things around the house. I’m happy that we are able to have the windows open, though — it’s going to be over 80 degrees and sunny today! May need to take a stroll around the lake later…

The cats are enjoying their lazy Sunday.

I get the feeling that every day is a lazy day for them.

Oh, check out this cute little piece of wall art that a vendor was selling at Brewgaloo — I think I want to try to make one!

Richard pointed it out and I fell in love with it!

I even threatened to fight another freckle-faced girl for it.

I was kidding.

Happy Sunday!

  1. I like that almost silhouette photo of you two! Glad it was a fun time. We worked in the garden and awaited the delivery of the firewood – initially promised for noon but of course showed up at 5 pm which made us prisoners here most of the day! It was lovely weather, and as the evening was prefect outside, we entertained (beer, wine, snacks) our neighbor Bob in the gazebo – 6:30 ’til midnight, time flew!!!

Late start today and feeling very tired.
Love and hugs – hope Susan is enjoying her time in England.

P.S. Cute framed quotes – you should definitely make something with the ‘freckles quote’ – it’s wonderful.
